One of the things I have low tolerance on is waiting. I like when things are efficient and fast so I don’t like when being slowed down or have to wait. Either waiting for an appointment, waiting in line, waiting in traffic, etc. Let alone waiting for God’s promises. You know one of those days when your prayers are not answered right away, when you don’t see immediate result, and miracle seems far away.
My Dad’s been unwell since December 2022, he had to undergo a major surgery di leher belakangnya karena saat itu fungsi sarafnya tinggal 30 persen. From December 2022 to now, our family is practically in this ‘waiting game’. Waiting for him to recover, waiting for him to heal, waiting for him to be able to walk again.
It is every girl’s dream to walk down the aisle with their father. It was my dream too but sadly on my wedding day, my Dad was not strong enough to do so.
I was heartbroken because I want God to move within my time frame. I was frustrated because I don’t know how much longer God will make me wait. I am like a little kid stuck on a road trip: “are we there yet?”.
But there is an appointed time for everything and God cannot be rushed. Finally the miracle I’ve been dying to see for the last nine months! Praise the Lord! He is the way maker and miracle worker.
From this experience, I learn that just because we can’t see God at work doesn’t mean He is not at work. The how and when are God’s responsibility. Our part is to “rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” (Psalm 37:7).
God bless, (AS)
